The wood is sustainably harvested Tweneboa hardwood that is replanted at a ratio of 5 trees for every tree felled - required by Ghana law. The designs are all handcarved and the symbols are known as Adinkra. They come from the Ashanti people in central Ghana. The skins are high quality goat skins and they are put on nice and tight! The sound? Oh Yah! These drums will keep you happy and drumming for many years to come! For an additional $15.00, our drums come with beautiful padded cloth backpacks that are made from local padded fabric in Ghana.
