Ojoba Collective is a fair trade company working to better the lives of over 350 West African artisans. “Ojoba,” meaning fine in the Ga language of southern Ghana, reflects not only the people we work with, but also the beautiful high quality, handmade products we sell.
Our mission is to help alleviate poverty through purchasing fairly traded and sustainably produced products, educating consumers to create markets for these products and organizing community projects. We at Ojoba Collective pride ourselves on our personal relationship with all of our artisans and our knowledge of all of our products.
In addition to providing income to our artisans through the purchase of their products, Ojoba Collective gives 10% of our year end profit to our charitable aid organization, Lotus Village Project.
We believe that empowering the world’s disadvantaged will create a more just global society and that fair trade can help ease economic hardship in West Africa, giving people hope, opportunity, dignity, and equality.
